2010 YEAR

THE LADY MATADOR'S HOTEL by Cristina Garcia (Scribner) and SOUND OF A WILD SNAIL EATING by Elisabeth Tova Bailey (Algonquin) have both been selected for the September 2010 "Indie Next List".

Trident Media Group was the number one agency in the world for sales of book contracts in 2009 according to Publisher's Market Place. Com. This is the ninth year in a row for Trident to retain the number one position in sales of all Literary Agencies.

"Winter's Bone", a film based on Daniel Woodrell's novel WINTER'S BONE, has been chosen for the 2010 Sundance Film Festival, as well as the 2010 Berlin Film Festival.

Trident sold Isaac Asimov's 1955 time travel novel THE END OF ETERNITY to New Regency, with Vince Gerardis at Created By producing. (The book had been optioned by Paramount, intended for Ridley Scott and Tom Cruise).

 

2009 YEAR

The Boston Globe has chosen the GILEAD by Marilynne Robinson as one of the best books of the decade.

C.E. Morgan was named one of the 2009 National Books Awards "5 Under 35"

Vu Tran was the winner of a 2009 Whiting Award for fiction

Trident sells Isaac Asimov's FOUNDATION trilogy to Columbia Pictures for the Isaac Asimov Estate in a major deal. Director Roland Emmerich and his producing partner Michael Wimer will produce.
