Alanna Ramirez began her publishing career in the editorial department at the Berkley Publishing Group and later went to the publicity department at HarperCollins before coming to Trident to work with Ellen Levine. At Trident, Alanna has also been the audio rights Agent and worked directly under Chairman Robert Gottlieb. Alanna has had the privilege of working with such esteemed authors as Christopher Andersen, Russell Banks, Debra Ollivier, Peter Orner, Mary Morris, and T. Jefferson Parker. She has sold book excerpts, short stories, and essays to BOMB, Granta, Harper's, Ladies Home Journal, Ninth Letter, A Public Space, Salon, Slate, and Virginia Quarterly Review, among others. Her interests include literary fiction, narrative nonfiction, memoir, pop culture, food and wine, and lifestyle books. Clients include Caprice Crane, Rosalyn Hoffman, Nathaniel Lande, Ian Mount, James L. Thane, and Alex Yates. She holds a B.A. in History and Journalism from Rutgers University.
